Joe Hawke

Joe Hawke is a communications consultant with 7 years’ experience. He has consulted for a range of clients including UK delivery company, Yodel, BMW’s leasing arm, Alphabet, and NYSE-listed customer service software company, Zendesk.

After training as a journalist at the prestigious, Cardiff School of Journalism, Joe had a stint as a freelancer writing for the likes of Travel Weekly, East Anglian Daily Times and Wales Online. Joe attributes his communication skills, in large part, to his journalistic roots.

He then worked as a manager at a tech & B2B PR consultancy in Berkshire, for 5 years, where he honed his verbal and written communication as well as his consultative skills that led him to managing the crisis communications for key accounts.

Joe’s passion is helping to prepare businesses for crises, through the development of realistic and business-sensitive scenarios that he can then help clients plan for before a real crisis strikes. His clients at Insignia include NFU Mutual, Synectics Solutions and Sky.  

Outside of work, Joe is an avid cricket and football fan despite the anguish of supporting his childhood Championship team, Ipswich Town. Once an amateur restaurant critic, Joe has also tried and tested many Michelin-starred restaurants around the UK.
